ABOUT
Jonathan Gornall is a freelance British journalist and author. Formerly with The Times of London, he has lived and worked in the Middle East and is now based in the UK.
He specialises in the history, heritage, politics and culture of the Middle East, with a particular focus on the six states of the Gulf Cooperation Council – Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. From 2008 to 2012 he lived in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and travelled to many countries in the region. He now lives in East Anglia in the UK with his wife and daughter. A former ocean rower, he now prefers crossing the Atlantic by aircraft.
